Appointment lengths vary depending on the type of service and your individual needs. Generally, initial consultations may take longer than follow-up appointments. However, all appointments are scheduled for an hour to allow adequate time and prevent delays.

Yes. Homeopaths in South Africa must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA). Dr Macintosh's registration number is 12233.

Acupuncture is the insertion of fine, sterile, single-use needles at specific points on the body. It is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

This differs from person to person and is discussed with you at your first consultation.

Dr GC Macintosh is registered with the AHPCSA as a Homeopath and Acupuncturist (Reg. No. 12233). He holds an M Homeopathy and a PG Dip Acupuncture from the University of Johannesburg.

We are registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders, however patients will settle the account and claim back from their respective medical aid scheme. We can provide you with a detailed receipt that you can submit to your medical aid provider for potential reimbursement.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and avoiding heavy meals or caffeine before your appointment. It's also helpful to bring any relevant medical records or supplements you're currently taking.
